Which Message Types Does SMN Support?

SMN supports the following message types or protocols: email, SMS, application, DMS, HTTP, and HTTPS.

  • HTTP or HTTPS: Messages are sent to subscription URLs by HTTP or HTTPS request. Currently, SMN only supports public network URLs.
  • Email: Messages are sent to subscribers' email addresses by email.
  • SMS: Messages are sent to subscribers' phone numbers by SMS message.
  • DMS: Messages are sent to queues.
  • Application: Messages are sent to application endpoints connected to specified mobile push platforms.
