Value Added Tax

Updated at: Nov 15, 2019 GMT+08:00

Value added tax (VAT) is a type of turnover tax that is collected based on the increased value generated during the turnover of the goods. From the principle of taxation, VAT is levied on the increase in value of a product or service at each stage of production, circulation, and distribution. VAT is not included in the price, which means it is borne by consumers.
