What Is Cloud Performance Test Service?

Updated at: May 21, 2019 GMT+08:00

Cloud Performance Test Service (CPTS) provides performance test services for cloud applications that are built based on HTTP, HTTPS, TCP, UDP, WEBSOCKET, RTMP or HLS. CPTS quickly simulates service peaks with a large number of concurrent users. It allows you to define the contents and time sequences of packets and supports different combinations of multiple transactions for complex scenario tests. After tests are complete, CPTS provides professional test reports to evaluate your service quality.

You can complete a performance test in four steps listed in Table 1.

Table 1 Process

1. Prepare Environment Resources

2. Create a Test Project

3. Add a Test Task

4. View a Test Report

A pressure test must run on the nodes you created. Before starting a test, create a resource group for test execution.

CPTS manages your test projects. Transactions, test tasks, and test reports are shared in the same project.

Predefined test transactions are used to create performance test scenarios.

CPTS provides real-time and offline performance test reports for result analysis.

Operation Constraint

To use CPTS for a pressure test on a public website, the user must be on the whitelist of this website. Otherwise, the user has to bear all consequences and legal liabilities.
